No se trata, pues, de aclarar alguna dificultad, alg\u00fan malentendido, que obstruya la comprensi\u00f3n de esta obra; por el contrario, Heidegger se propone sacar a luz el contenido decisivo de la Cr\u00edtica, tratando de exponer lo que Kant \u00abha querido decir\u00bb. Y su intenci\u00f3n, por arbitraria que pueda parecer, se apoya en una m\u00e1xima que el mismo Kant quer\u00eda ver aplicada en toda interpretaci\u00f3n filos\u00f3fica, y que consiste en \u00abreconocer, apart\u00e1ndose de la investigaci\u00f3n de la letra, lo que el autor ha querido decir\u00bb.As\u00ed, Heidegger, disintiendo de los comentaristas habituales que parten del supuesto de que la Cr\u00edtica de la raz\u00f3n pura es una \u00abteor\u00eda del conocimiento\u00bb y s\u00f3lo trata la metaf\u00edsica y los temas metaf\u00edsicos en forma accesoria, enfoca el problema de la metaf\u00edsica \u00abcomo problema de la ontolog\u00eda fundamental\u00bb.Pero el hecho de que ya en la introducci\u00f3n de su obra aparezca el t\u00e9rmino \u00abontolog\u00eda fundamental\u00bb, puede despertar la sospecha de que Heidegger, arbitrariamente, presta a Kant su propia problem\u00e1tica e intenta hacer de la Cr\u00edtica una justificaci\u00f3n de su propio pensamiento.
